The system hangs below the structural ceiling and supports drywall, creating a finished ceiling with none of the visible grid lines or removable tiles you'd see in a traditional suspended acoustical ceiling. The drywall gets taped, finished, and painted just like any other ceiling — the difference is what's holding it up.
